Gerald K. "Gerry" Perkel
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Perkel has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Planar since September 2005. Prior to joining Planar, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Merant PLC, a provider of ECM (enterprise-change management) software that was acquired by Serena Software in 2004. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Perkel served as president of the Office Printing Business at Xerox, a multi-billion dollar segment of Xerox's business. Prior to that, from 1995 to 2000, Mr. Perkel was president of the Color Printing and Imaging Business of Tektronix. Mr. Perkel received his BS in System Science engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Scott Hildebrandt
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Hildebrandt joined Planar as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in January 2005. Prior to joining Planar, Mr. Hildebrandt served as CFO at Merant PLC, CFO at InFocus Corporation and several financial executive roles at Tektronix, including vice president and corporate treasurer and vice president and division controller of the Color Printer Business. He currently serves as a Board Trustee for the Oregon State University Foundation. Mr. Hildebrandt joined Haskins and Sells, CPA's, following his graduation from Oregon State University, where he received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Computer Science.

Douglas K. Barnes
Vice President and General Manager, Industrial Business Unit

Mr. Barnes currently is Vice President and General Manager of the Industrial Business Unit. Previously, Mr. Barnes was General Manager of the Medical Business Unit. Vice President of European Sales and Marketing and earlier served as general manager of Planar's North America operation.  Since 1986, he has held various positions with Planar, including Director of Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing.  Mr. Barnes received a BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.

Mark A. Ceciliani
Vice President and General Manager, Commercial Business Unit

Mr. Ceciliani currently is Vice President and General Manager of the Commercial Business Unit. Having joined Planar in 1984, he has served in a variety of financial roles, including controller, assistant treasurer and treasurer. Before joining Planar, Mr. Ceciliani was a staff accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick for three years. He received a BS in Business Administration from Portland State University.

Benjamin Clifton
Vice President, Technology

Mr. Clifton joined Planar as Vice President of Technology in 2006. He held this position at Clarity Visual Systems, prior to Planar's acquisition. He has been instrumental in the integration of Clarity's video wall and digital signage display products into Planar, and brings his specialty display expertise to all of Planar's markets. Mr. Clifton has 22 years of experience in the display field, working for Tektronix, InFocus, Motif, and Clarity Visual Systems. He was recipient of the SID 1992 Best Paper Award, and holds 18 patents in the display field. Ben graduated from Washington State University with a BS in electrical engineering and a minor in computer science.

Brad Gleeson
Vice President, Business Development

Before joining Planar in 2006 Mr. Gleeson co-founded and was president of ActiveLight Inc. and CineLight Corp., leading US distributors of plasma displays and home theater products. Prior to Activelight Mr. Gleeson was director of marketing at Boxlight Corp., an early manufacturer of LCD projectors. Gleeson was founder and president Sayett International (the European subsidiary of Sayett Technology), and NovaCorp Inc., distributors of the world’s first presentation laptop computer. He has also worked as a product manager at Eastman Kodak.

Steve Going
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Mr. Going joined Planar as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in March 2007. Prior to joining Planar, Mr. Going served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Merix Corporation. Mr. Going also served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Merant plc, a provider of enterprise change management software products that was acquired by Serena Software in May 2004. Mr. Going was a Partner in the Portland, Oregon office of Perkins Coie LLP, a large international law firm, where he served growth companies in the areas of general corporate and strategic advice, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, technology transfers and securities regulation. Mr. Going holds a BS in Business Administration (Finance) from Oregon State University and a JD from The UCLA School of Law.

Kristina (Kris) Gorriarán
Vice President and General Manager, Control Room / Signage Business Unit

Gorriarán joined Planar following the acquisition of Clarity Visual Systems in 2006 and leads the newly formed business unit that targets this market. Before her 5 year tenure at Clarity, Gorriarán was with Xerox for 15 years, most recently as Vice President of Quality and Customer Satisfaction for European Operations. Gorriarán is member of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Aid Society of Oregon, and she also serves on the Community Board of Directors for Regence Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oregon. She is a graduate of The University of Oregon, with a BS in telecommunications.

John Major
Vice President, Global Operations

Mr. Major joined the company as VP, Global Operations in January 2008. Prior to joining Planar, Mr. Major served as VP, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations for Tektronix where he was responsible for worldwide operations, including the deployment of LeanSigma. Prior to Tektronix, Mr. Major served as VP, Customer Support and Service for Xerox Office Printing Business after Xerox's purchase of the business from Tektronix. Prior to this, Mr. Major served in a number of manufacturing leadership roles at Tektronix and Digital Equipment Corporation. Mr. Major holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Executive MBA from the University of Washington.

Terri Timberman
Vice President, Human Resources

Terri Timberman joined Planar in May of 2007 as Vice President of Human Resources with over 25 years in various technology-related businesses. Prior to joining Planar, Terri spent 5 years with AMI Semiconductor (AMIS) as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. She has also served as Vice President of Human Resources for RadiSys Corporation in Portland, Oregon, and Chief Administrative Officer for Merix Corporation. Terri holds a BA in Organizational Communication from Marylhurst University and is a graduate (Senior Fellow) of the American Leadership Forum of Oregon. She is a board member for the Bank of Idaho and has served on a number of community and not-for-profit boards.
